Reviews movie Second to Last Love

- Great: ANOTHER drama about "old" people who are STILL single, and it just so happens to star Ji Jin Hee. Oh, the tragedy and misfortune of being a "successful" 40-something without another "successful" 40-something to share one's life! I just wonder whether they'll ever, in any country, produce a drama about confident, independent, platonic people who are content to live their lives without being indoctrinated and, subsequently, inordinately preoccupied with the notion that they are not a whole person unless they are in a relationship--ANY relationship--that is both sexual and codependent? When will it be depicted as normal and even healthy to be completely OK with being single (and by single I mean not secretly hoping and praying, and even searching for Mr. or Mrs Right)? I think never! Ok, apart from offering up encouragement and comfort to those viewers who are single and personally content to be so, I'm finished ranting.
- Having seen the original Japanese version of it, AND LOVED IT, I certainly do hope that they still provide some nuances and lessons from the Japanese version..which was a slice of life drama - meaning it was based on realism [with some truth just stretched a little bit]... Hopefully they stick to the things that made the original a highly acclaimed drama [to span 2 seasons and a movie or two] for that period it aired...
- I am here for both leads, Kim Hee Ae (Secret Love Affair) and Ji Jin Hee (Dong Yi). The Japanese version has a lot of praises. Only the screen writer could ruin this. I am hoping that everything goes well in this drama.
- I've being waiting for you so long..
