CLARIFICATION ON THE MINIMUM ADMISSION ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
It has been brought to the attention of the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) that, there are mixed interpretations and misconceptions of the Public Notice issued on 11th July, 2016 about Change of Procedures, Requirements and Minimum Admission Entry Qualifications for Undergraduate Students. The major area of concern has been on the (Two Ds) as the minimum admission entry qualifications for the category of Form Six applicants who completed A-Level Studies before 2014 and those who completed A-Level studies from 2016. TCU would like to clarify that the Minimum Admission Entry Qualifications for Form Six applicants who completed A-Level Studies before 2014 and those who completed A-Level studies from 2016 is Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme ( where A = 5; B = 4; C= 3; D = 2; E = 1).
